Teksti kertoo siitä kuinka ryhmä kansainvälisiä tutkioita ovat askeleen lähempänä rokotteen keksimistä malariaa vastaan. Ennen ei tiedetty mihin kohtaan immuunijärjestelmästä pitäisi vaikuttaa tai sitä mikä immuunijärjestelmästä pysäyttää infektion, mutta nyt se on selvinnyt. Tutkijat ovat myös sitä mieltä, että antibiootit eivät yksinään ole hyvä lääke malariaa vastaan ja siksi onkin tärkeää, että rokote sitä vastaan keksitään. Rokotteen keksiminen pelastaisi monia lapsia, jotka yleensä kuolevat tautiin. Rokotteen hienosäätämisen nopeus riippuu rahoitusten määrästä.

When I read the article I was amazed how far have modern science come and how this discovery can help so many people in the future. Although I was shocked that 600,000 people die every year because of malaria. Reading it I also learned that because malaria spreads by mosquitos it is more harder to study than for example diseases that are caused by viruses. Also I think that it is sad that the time how fast the vaccine can be fine-tuned depends on the funding. I hope that people are willing to fund this cause because it is such a big problem in Africa.
